I love these guys but ..
Have they run out of actual movies to riff on?

Oh, they do plenty of "actual" movies. The "I Am Legend" and "Cloverfield" riffs are just as funny as MSTie days. You see, since they started their Rifftrax venture, they no longer have to go through the trouble of acquiring legal agreements/permissions to do their thing. So every single film and TV show is now in the crosshairs.

So why do they bother with a piddly fanfilm? Why the hell not? Clearly, these fanfilm producers have got it coming to them.

I've not seen this before but I must say, the set is incredible looking!

They were MUCH more unforgiving in that turd abomination of cinema called "Hobgoblins". They were literally cracking along with the viewer on that one. Good times.
