Because if it's fake or not, if one perceives that something is dangerous to themselves, or in the heat of the moment, someone can get hurt or even killed. - this makes no sense.

I recently saw a scare tactics where they went to work at a mortuary, and the body groomer was a organ harvester.
The dude they were supposed to trick, went in and saw his fiance on the table with fake organs all ripped out.
Dude picked up a hemostat, and you can see the actor go towards the other side of the room.
Later, the guy who got pranked said I was going to kill you. The prankster said .. no you weren't.
I did a double take on that, and the guy who got pranked was shaking, I knew full well that he was going to kill the actor.
