Help with an Onion video embed

I'm having trouble with the embed for a video from The Onion. The embed code comes up as being valid, but doesn't seem to work properly.

My post is here: http://www.videosift.com/video/17-Year-Old-Champion-Gymnast-Euthanized

The original ONN video is here: http://www.theonion.com/content/video/gymnast_shawn_johnson_put_to?utm_source=nav

Can anyone help with this? Some tips or tricks I could use? Has anyone else had any difficulty posting from The Onion lately?

Current Onion embeds are messed up, something that has been brought up before. It's still possible to use Onion embeds, but it involves using the base embed code from an old Onion embed. You take the new Onion embed and take the video code number, the image source, and the title out of it and over-write those fields in the old Onion embed code and then you can use this new hybrid embed code on the sift...

Or just wait for it to hit YouTube...

I wasn't aware there was a problem with The Onion embeds. The problem is the way they create their embed code because they leave out a couple of spaces where they are required, merging a couple of quotes up against other attributes (at swf"type="application and 430"flashvars="). Making it work is really just a matter of hitting your spacebar at those two places.

To save you the trouble, I modified the siftbot so he will detect if it's a stupid theonion embed and insert those two spaces as necessary, so please feel free to return to your The Onion posting ways.
